It is nothing new to see something that was in fashion a decade ago come back with increased popularity in the world of clothing. One such item that has made a stunning comeback is the wide leg jeans that are now to be seen everywhere. Over the years they have appeared and disappeared they have always shown up with a different name.

There are many stores that sell wide leg jeans but the best place to get a wide variety to suit your tastes is the internet. Apart from giving you a wide inventory to choose from, you will also have the advantage of finding the cheapest price tags available today.

Baggy pants have always received different names as time goes by and as you move from one region to another. The first time people actually begun to notice that certain jeans were actually baggy and not just big was in the 1990′s and they were dubbed baggy pants.

Baggy pants were a name that was mostly rampant in the United States. If you crossed over into the United Kingdom you would find that everybody was calling them baggies instead. Today those in the UK just say wide leg jeans as the baggies name fizzled out when the fashion did as well.

The subculture that you can pinpoint as being responsible for the first widespread love for the baggy jeans was the skateboarders. This was back in the 90′s.

The skateboard subculture however changed their style and can be seen today wearing mostly skinny jeans. The baggy jeans are now a popular norm among the hip hop subculture.

The JNCO are widely responsible for the wave of baggy jeans sales after which many other brands followed suit.

A lot of people confuse the baggy jeans with the bell bottoms but the difference between the two is a big one. The bell bottoms are wide below the knees and skinny above.
