How To Create Momentum In Your MLM Business
How do you create momentum in your business? I remember the day I first learned how to drive. I didn’t like riding the school bus so I was very excited to get my drivers license. My dad allowed me to drive an old 81 Oldsmobile, the family car, to begin my driving experience in. I put it into reverse, back out onto the road, slide it into drive, and hit the gas. Before we knew it, we were going around 75 MPH. My dad yelled to me to take my foot of the gas and slow down. I coasted for another mile until I was back down to the speed limit. Why did I coast for another mile? Because I had momentum. You need to learn how to step on the gas in you business to create that momentum you need to jumpstart your business.
There really is no secret. Professors in high schools and colleges have taught this strategy for years. Why didn’t we listen? My mentor of mine didn’t listen either. He was struggling to build his network marketing business until a mentor told him what the top network marketers do. Once you learn the strategy and implement it you’ll be dangerous. Well, my mentor did just that. In 1995 he started a new network marketing company and sponsored two people, after learning the strategy, he built a sales team or downline of 12,864 in two years. Exactly tow years. Then the company shut down so he went and build another huge business with over 16,000 distributors in his downline or sales team. The strategy works.
You need three things to achieve that kind of momentum in your business: Hitting your target market, a lot of leads, and a daily method of operation.
The overwhelming majority of network marketers are taught to make the dreaded list of family and friends also referred as your “Warm Market” list. The issue with this list is that it is not your target market. Marketing 101 defines your target market, right? Then why would we target your family and friends that have never shown interest in what you are doing. Here is an example: Would you sell golf clubs to people who golf or would you sell your golf clubs to skateboarders? The answer is obvious. Go after network marketers.
The top network marketers create an abundance mentality. To do this you need a lot of leads within your target market. I would suggest learning Attraction Marketing over the Internet to create this abundance mentality. You will sponsor the right people instead of wasting your time with the wrong people using Attraction Marketing. You will want to attract the right people instead of you chasing them. Do as leaders do, come from a form a strength instead of weakness. Chasing prospects is a form of weakness.
If potential prospects are going to take you serious, then you need to walk the walk and talk the talk. Leaders have a set time aside to build their business each day. Time dedicated for prospecting and working with your customers, not wasting time doing things that are unproductive like cleaning your desk, answering emails, etc. Leaders adhere to this and do not waver from it. It doesn’t matter how much time you have as long as you have a defined time to build your business.
Now let me answer the question: Is there a magical formula to create momentum? Well the short answer is yes. There is a magical formula. Do you want to know this magical formula? What if you found a genie in a bottle that would give you all the wishes you desire instead of only three? I hope you are sitting down. Read this very carefully. The secret formula requires desire, passion, and a drive to succeed. Go look into a mirror and see the person who will decide if you succeed in network marketing our not. You are the secret formula! You can attract what you want in life if you’re willing to work for it. All of the top network marketers have desire, passion and a drive to succeed in common. There’s no getting around this. Take action and do the things I’ve learned from other to create the momentum in your business. As Tony Robbins says, “Massive Action = Massive Results.” I didn’t make this stuff up.
